Head of Legal
We are looking for a strategic Head of Legal to build and lead the company's legal function. This role goes far beyond traditional legal support. You will become a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive team, helping shape business decisions, minimize legal risks, support international expansion, and establish scalable legal processes across the organization. You'll work in a fast-growing international technology company operating across multiple jurisdictions with products in SaaS, Telecom and Messaging.

Responsibilities
Legal Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's legal strategy.
- Build and scale the legal function, including processes, policies, and governance.
- Establish legal standards and best practices across the organization.
- Build and manage the in-house legal team while coordinating external legal advisors.
- Develop a proactive legal risk management framework.
Corporate & Group Structure
- Support the corporate structure of an international group of companies.
- Review and optimize intercompany agreements.
- Support corporate restructuring initiatives.
- Transfer Pricing
- Place of Effective Management (PoEM)
- Controlled Foreign Companies (CFC)
- Group restructuring
- Support M&A and investment transactions.
Commercial Contracts
Own the company's commercial contracting framework, including:
- B2B SaaS Agreements
- Telecom & SMS traffic supplier agreements
- Partnership and reseller agreements
- Customer contracts
- Vendor agreements
- Intercompany agreements
You'll also be responsible for auditing and standardizing the company's contractual framework.
Compliance
Build and maintain the company's compliance framework, including:
- AML
- KYC
- GDPR
- Sanctions compliance
- Internal policies and procedures
Responsibilities include:
- Counterparty screening
- KYC documentation
- Compliance processes
- Geographic risk management
- Payment flow compliance
Privacy & GDPR
Lead all data protection initiatives, including:
- Controller / Processor framework
- Data Processing Agreements (DPA)
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)
- Cross-border data transfers
- Privacy policies
- Internal GDPR procedures
Regulatory Affairs
Provide legal support across:
- Telecommunications
- SMS products
- Domain services
- Licensing
- Regulatory compliance
- Government relations
Business Partnering
Act as a trusted advisor to management on:
- International contracts
- New products
- Investments
- Tax and regulatory matters
- HR legal issues
- Legal risk assessment
- Strategic business initiatives
Employment & HR Legal
Support international HR matters, including:
- Employment agreements
- International hiring
- Contractor arrangements
- Misclassification risks
- Internal policies
- Employee Handbook
Requirements
Experience
- 5–7+ years of legal experience.
- Strong experience in international companies, SaaS businesses, or high-growth technology environments.
- Proven track record of building legal functions from the ground up.
- Experience participating in executive-level strategic decision-making.
- Hands-on experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Experience managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience coordinating external legal counsel.
