Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Specialist with strong accounting fundamentals and a solid understanding of financial reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data in 1C, ensuring data quality, and supporting reliable reporting processes. You will work with primary documentation, control accounting accuracy, and ensure that financial data serves as a trustworthy foundation for P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who combines hands-on accounting experience with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain primary accounting documentation in 1C
  • Populate and keep the 1C database up to date
  • Ensure data quality: verify correctness of postings and consistency between primary documents and recorded transactions
  • Ensure proper handling of primary documentation so that financial data is accurate and reliable for reporting

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow — ability to prepare and/or deeply understand their structure, interconnections, and validation methods
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and how transactions flow through all three financial statements
  • Knowledge of IFRS (practical experience is preferred; strong theoretical knowledge is acceptable)
  • English level sufficient to read professional materials and conduct basic business communication (including phone calls)
  • Experience working in Cyprus, including knowledge of local payroll reporting and tax filings, is a strong advantage
